Done Deals: Diesel Care buys 3 acres in Millington By Tom Bailey, Tom Bailey Jr The Commercial Appeal online at www.thecommercialappeal.com. Posted September 6, 2009 at 12:02 a.m. Motorists will no longer pass a big vacant building when they enter Millington's southern gateway on U.S. 51. Diesel Care and Performance, which provides diesel components and service, is moving into the 10,000-square-foot structure at 7265 U.S. 51 North.The three-acre site had been empty since Jim Keras Chevrolet moved out late last year. Crye-Leike commercial agents Jeff Wages and Mack Browder represented the property owner, Dick Ritchey. John Lichterman of McKee and McFarland represented Diesel Care owners Billy and Amy Williams. The business opened at 2740 Whitten Road in the Bartlett area five years ago.The Millington facility is newer and larger. Wages gave credit to Millington's City Hall for making it easy for Diesel Care to do business in town, plus lower taxes and a more secure location than some other places Diesel Care considered. Diesel Care ceased operations on Whitten Road on Friday and will open in Millington on Tuesday, according to its Web site. |
